Event Description: Our Honored Rose program is a bi-weekly brunch for mothers. MAAC aims to give our mothers in the community roses and much needed appraisal for being such amazing caretakers. Our weekly brunches aim to discuss topics such as postpartum depression, maternal health abuse and creating a space for new moms to be themselves and to relax.

This teaching style consistently enhances students’ mental well-being, stamina, rhythm, timing, and energy from dancing. We evoke Spiritual self-love initiations and transmute struggle into miracles.

Event Description: Youth will create a play to tell their own stories. They will learn the basics of storytelling/poetry, including point of view, setting, character, conflict, resolution, what their character wants, what is keeping them from getting what they want, how they overcome the obstacle, and how their life changes when they get what they want. The act of creating the presentation will reinforce strengths, including realizations about who I am, what I think, what my life has been like, what I want, and what I can accomplish.

The market for black-owned businesses will return for a second day to platform additional vendors and close out the weekend’s festivities.
